By Milton Tella – The Love of Christ Generation Church (LOC), Cherubim & Seraphim (C&S) London, held a thanksgiving service on Sunday 13th June 2021 at the Clapham Road London church, to welcome Rev. Mother Esther Abimbola Ajayi, Founder and Spiritual Head back to the UK, after three and half years in Nigeria.

Rev. Mother Esther Ajayi with Ministers from other denominations.

Invited guests and regular members, joyously singing praises and gratitude to God Almighty for witnessing the momentous occasion, attended the church service.

The atmosphere in the church was electrifying, as the choir rendered many uplifting and souls – searching songs to God in appreciation of the return of the woman many refer to as ‘Mother Theresa’.

Rev. Mother Esther Ajayi used the opportunity of the thanksgiving service to correct the different stories that had been circulating concerning her absence.

She explained the true reason why she could not return to the UK for the past three and half years. Stating that, “l was simply an over – stayer in the UK, who had to respond to the call of God to return on a missionary journey to Nigeria, for an assignment that needed to be accomplished. So l had to obey God. Therefore my return to the UK had to be properly regulated, regarding my UK residency. That was it and nothing else.”

“But most importantly, in my response to the call of God, God used me tremendously, to accomplish His work. God sent me around the world to touch the lives of many people. I went to the Vatican in Rome, to different cities in America, Israel, Cappadocia, Ghana, Liberia, and many other countries doing missionary works.”

Iya Adua, as Rev. Mother Ajayi is fondly called, returned to the UK, more vigorous in the things of God, quoting several bible verses off head, pouring out prophetic messages, emphasising the need for everyone to read the Bible daily for survival. She appeared beautifully trimmed, fit and charming as she moved around the church characterized by cheerful high spirit.

Rev. Mother Esther Ajayi in her sermon titled, ‘He who is in me is greater than he who is in the world.’ – taken from 1 John 4.4, enjoined everyone never to be afraid or be dismayed of any situation they find themselves in, for “God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power and of love and of a sound mind.” (2 Timothy 1.7). She further said, ‘Know the truth and the truth will set you free.’ (John 8.32). The word of God is your sword and guide in life, it is important to have total command of it, so that when you are faced with temptations, you too can say, “It is written …just like our Lord Jesus Christ said.”

Her sermon was very inspiring and the delivery was punctuated with music and dance. She said, “I do my bling and swagger to the glory of God, while having fun in His presence.” While singing, dancing and giving thanks to God Rev. Mother Ajayi also encouraged the congregation to be health conscious, avoid being obese and be aware of mental health issues.

In her humility, she knelt down to thank the congregation for holding fort in her absence and expressed her deepest love to them. “I love and appreciate you all from the bottom of my heart.”  The church shouted back “we love you too mummy.”

Rev. Mother Esther Ajayi with great excitement announced one of the good things the Lord did while she was in Nigeria. “God blessed LOC with a Mega church building in Victoria Island, Lagos. You all need to see it. Alleluyah, all things worketh for good for those who love the Lord.” (Romans 8. 28.)

During her personal thanksgiving step-out, Iya Adua glorified God saying, “Gratitude is my character, giving is in my character. My mission in life is to better peoples’ lives. l will continue to win many souls for God, through my calling, continue to give and see God in your giving. When you start giving, the Lord will multiply you.”

Rev. Mother Esther Ajayi also debunked the rumour surrounding riches. She said, “It is barbaric for anyone to think people can make money through occultism. Money is not magical, it is a reward for your hard work.”

Your total trust should be in the Lord. Whatever career you choose, do it differently. If you are a solicitor, be one of excellence. Continue to strive forward and your coast will be enlarged very soon.”

In attendance at the thanksgiving service were ministers and members from other denominations and guests from all walks of life, Gospel singer, Muyiwa – Riversongz, Chief (Mrs) Obasanjo, Mr Akinfenwa, Pastor & Mrs Ajitena of Cliwom Sanctuary of Praise, Cllr. & Mrs Ade Aminu former Mayor, London Borough of Lambeth, Princess Golda & Prince Mike Abiola, Publishers of African Voice Newspaper UK, Isaac Adegbite, Prince Lanre Adegun, Otunba Femi Okutubo, Publisher of Trumpet Newspapers and many others. Photo credits: Isaac Adegbite.
