The red carpet glowed with arrays of colour as spouses of nominees took steps into the main auditorium hosting the prestigious gala night in a way to announce the confidence and assurance of backing a winning candidate.

It became a pretty fabulous and subtle competition as to which crops of the disciplines know how best to enjoy themselves or more fashion conscious. African Voice engaged a freelance fashion stylist to observe the dress code and dance of these crop of professionals. It was a show-stopping red carpet fashion evening.

Style notes:

Doctors: Most of the doctors came out in favour of the wardrobe classic, black tie dinner suit.

Nurses: Majority of the nurses followed the seasonal bright and colourful trends, gorgeous Hollywood flamboyant style dress.

Midwives: Nearly all are in long gown conservative evening dress.

Pharmacists: Conservatively corporate style dressing became a notable style for this group.

Radiographers: A mix & match of contemporary African style fabric on show.

Health Visitors: Not quite daring in their dress code, traditional English style evening dress.

Verdict: The nurses stole the show looking more glamorous in their vibrant and elegant evening gowns.

In a close look at the NHCPUK Committee Members, though women’s fashion used to get all the attention, but this time the men on the committee edged the ladies out and stole the spotlight. Five of the men came out dapper in trendy eye catching suits.
