30th MANSAG Conference and Charity Ball holds on 25th – 27th October

The Medical Association of Nigerians Across Great Britain (MANSAG) will hold it’s annual Conference & Charity Ball on 25th – 27th October 2019. The 30th MANSAG conference will focus on the collective expertise to improve the quality of healthcare provision both in the UK and in Nigeria.

 

The Medical Association of Nigerians Across Great Britain (MANSAG), is the only body representing over 5000 Nigerian Medical Practitioners, Nurses, Pharmacists, Midwifes, Radiographers and other Allied Healthcare Professionals in the British Isles.

This 30th edition Conference & Charity Ball will be held at the Double Tree by Hilton Docklands, 265A Rotherhithe Street, London SE16 5HW.

With the theme, ‘Looking to The Future’ this year, MANSAG executives have lined up specialist speakers who will discuss what the future holds for healthcare provision and healthcare workers and how to capitalise on the collective expertise in order to improve the quality of healthcare provision both in the UK and in Nigeria.

The Guest of Honour at the 30th edition of the Conference and Charity Ball is His Excellency, Ambassador George Adesola Oguntade CFR, CON, Nigeria High Commissioner to the UK. The Keynote speaker is the current Nigeria’s Honourable Minister of Health, Dr. Osagie Emmanuel Ehanire.

MANSAG’s Mission & Vision according to the executives is to strengthen, protect, nurture and enrich the professional and social lives of MANSAG members. To have a purposeful, formidable and unified forum for healthcare professionals of Nigerian heritage across Great Britain with positive impact and benefits to members, host country, The United Kingdom and Nigeria.

MANSAG has a track record of carrying out successful medical mission work in Nigeria over the years. The idea of the medical missions is to work in partnership with health facilities in Nigeria and contribute to the efforts of those in Nigeria in the spirit of collaboration and shared expertise.

MOU between the Federal Ministry of Health, The Nigerian National Volunteer Service, MANSAG and ANPA are examples of cooperation in the health sector.

MOU between Bowen University Teaching Hospital, Ogbomosho (BUTHO) and MANSAG for a 3-5 year capacity building programme.

MOU between the Federal Medical Centre in Abeokuta and MANSAG for a 3-5 year capacity building programme are some of the achievements of the past national executives that the current officers are building upon.
