Zohasina RAZAFINJATOVO, Madagascar Chevening scholar 2015/16 shares her experience with African Voice during a reception hosted by UK Minister for Africa, James Duddridge MP at the Foreign and Commonwealth Office (FCO) on 20th April.
Zohasina RAZAFINJATOVO, Madagascar scholar said, “I am among the fortunate ones to be awarded a Chevening Scholarship for the 2015/2016 years. A prestigious scholarship that gave us an opportunity to study and live in the UK for a master. I am now reading law, development and Governance at SOAS, University of London. Before coming here, I have been working as Civil servant of my country for five years now, in the field of legislation making and enactment process. Back to my country, I wish to work on a governmental project for development, but with an empowerment focus and right based approach. I am convinced that aid and development assistance should focus on people and on empowering them to take control of their own sustainable economic and sustainable development. I will also undertake volunteering activities moving in this direction”.
