UKIP has been forced to replace yet another one of its candidates after he made a comment on Facebook saying that President Obama should be kidnapped.

Zeid

Jeremy Zeid, who was the candidate for Hendon, made the comments after it was revealed that the US had declassified federal documents concerning Israel’s nuclear programme.

“Once Obama is out of office the Israelis should move to extradite the b******d or ‘do an Eichmann’ on him and lock him up for leaking state secrets,” Zeid wrote in the Facebook post.

“Just kidnap the bugger, like they did to Eichmann,” he added.

Zeid denies that his resignation was due his recent Facebook comment, and insists that he decided to resign beforehand ‘due to his health’.

“I stood down because I’m fed up with having to fend off accusations. I have to consider my health,” he told the Evening Standard.  “That comment I made about Obama, I stick by it 100 per cent.”

Zeid has been replaced by Jeremy Shamash a Jewish dentist who is originally from North London, and who, just one day after taking Zeid’s place, stated that he is afraid of Muslims.

“What is Islamophobia? It is not someone who hates Muslims – it is someone who fears them,” he told the Jewish Chronical.

“There are 2.8 million people [in the UK] who are ideologically and religiously opposed to us. I am fearful of a minority that sees us Jews as a potential target for attack.”

“He was right to resign,” a UKIP spokesperson said on Zeid’s resignation. “We are looking forward, not back.”
