Among the British Black Film & TV stars and UK Nollywood, it is an extremely tight contest among some experienced and new entrants. The jury has described it as the most competitive ever.

London will host the prestigious annual African Film Awards which promote and honour excellence in Nollywood, Best of African Cinema and Black British Stars in Film & Television on Saturday, 5th November, 2016 at the Old Stratford Town Hall, 29 The Broadway, Stratford London E15 4BQ Time: 6.00pm till late.
The African Voice Newspaper UK, organisers of the awards said, the special 20th anniversary edition of the African Film Awards looks to promote British Nigerian Film Collaboration. The awards is expected to be a glamourous evening with high net-worth individuals, film investors and experts in the film industry.
To further add value and build capacity in the industry, the Organising Committee has included a Master Class/Training Workshop in partnership with an award-winning Independent Producer/Executive Producer of 20 drama series, 6 TV movies and 16 feature films. Co-founder of Red Rooster Film and Television Entertainment Company.
The training workshop is designed to chart a partway to success for new entrants into the film industry in the areas of acting, film funding, distribution, producing, directing, short film, script writing and highlights on the essentials required to get films noticed by independent distributors.

African Film Awards otherwise known as Afro Hollywood Awards has honoured over 300 recipients since its inception in 1996. The awards have served the purposes of promoting and advancing the dynamic growth of Africa’s Film and Arts in Europe, especially in the United Kingdom uniting the Africans and Caribbean communities.
