Toni Braxton left little to the imagination at an event it Atlanta last Sunday as the 47-year-old posed in a very brief, very sheer dress at the United Negro College Fund Evening of Stars gathering.
The ‘Unbreak My Heart’ singer appeared to have forgotten her underwear and doubtless walked away with the unofficial head-turner of the evening award, though many of the females present appeared less than enamoured. One imagines a few male partners took possession to the keys to the doghouse on Sunday evening!
Black swirls were strategically placed on the singer’s nipples to keep things legal and although it appears Toni is commando, we see a bit of a lining around her lady parts — probably a good idea to prevent another wardrobe malfunction!
The singer opted for high black strappy heels to show accentuate her long, toned legs. She also decided to keep things simple for her jewellery choices. A fashion critic would say her eschewing showy jewellery was a great idea given the dress’ already busy features. I say nobody would have noticed.
Ms Braxton’s outfit certainly lends support to the theory that a 2013 on-stage ‘wardrobe malfunction’ in which she sang on for several minutes after the back of her already hardly-a-dress had succumbed to gravity to reveal what appeared from a distance to be her naked rump, was stage-managed (it’s all over YouTube). Two backing singers, a band, an entire stage crew and Braxton herself completely ignored the apparent mishap, which turned out to be actually revealing a skin-toned under-thingy (I’m a man of an age more accustomed to petticoats) but with enough butt-cheek on show to keep an old man happy for days.
A kind gentleman eventually offered his jacket to spare the singer’s blushes, so she did what anyone would do – took off the dress completely and finished her set prancing around in her underwear beneath an unbuttoned oversize jacket! Toni Braxton, I salute you.
