The NHS App is a simple and secure way to access a range of NHS services and information on your smartphone or tablet. Millions of people are already using the NHS App to manage their health the easy way from the comfort of their homes.

Whether viewing your GP health record, ordering repeat prescriptions, or nominating your preferred pharmacy – the NHS App hosts a range of features that make it easier to access NHS services and information.

Angela Clarke likes the fact that she can access her health information quickly and easily, without being held in a queue on the phone:

‘I’m a busy person so I need to be able to manage my life on the go and the NHS App helps me do that for my health. I have various repeat prescriptions that I can just order on the App and pick up at the local pharmacy that I’ve chosen, and I can look up my health records – like vaccinations – whenever I need to. I especially like the alerts and reminders for appointments or events, so I don’t have to remember to add them to my diary. It just makes things simpler for me and I have recommended the app to my friends and family.’

Thelma Dakin-Davis first downloaded the NHS App on her phone during the COVID-19 pandemic so that she could access her COVID travel pass. Since then, Thelma has noticed how many other ways she can use the app to help her manage her health in a way that’s convenient to her:

‘The NHS App works really well on my phone and I use it quite often. I’m able to see all of my doctor’s letters and other communication I’ve had with the GP surgery, including my past medical records and prescriptions. Just last week I used the app to order a repeat prescription and it was ready at my local pharmacy for me to collect the same day. In the time I’ve been using it there have been more and more features added, and the best part is that it’s there at my fingertips; wherever I am or whatever I’m doing.’
