Ruth Oshinkalu officially receives MBE at Buckingham Palace

Ruth Oshikanlu MBE QN FiHV FRCN, CEO Goal Mind attended her formal investiture ceremony at the Buckingham Palace on Thursday, 2nd May 2019. She has been awarded MBE an honour from Her Majesty, Queen Elizabeth 11.

Ruth Oshikanlu was awarded Member of the Order of the British Empire (MBE) in the New Year 2019 Honours List for being an Ambassador for the Health Visiting Profession and for services to Community Nursing, Children and Families.

The Duke of Cambridge at the Buckingham Palace made Ruth Oshikanlu a MBE during the investiture ceremony. After the Buckingham Palace investiture ceremony, Ruth on her twitter handle said she was privileged to share the ceremony with so many amazing nurses. Her dad and son accompanied the Queen’s nurse to the ceremony.

Ruth is a multi-award winning nurse entrepreneur and parenting expert for pregnancy and the first two years of life, with a specialism in supporting pregnant women who have had assisted conception or pregnancy loss.

Ruth received The Queen’s Nursing Institute’s Queen Elizabeth The Queen Mother Award for Outstanding Service to Community Nursing in 2014.

She is the author of Tune In To Your Baby: Because Babies Don’t Come with an Instruction Manual.

Ruth is a Queen’s Nurse, Fellow of The Institute of Health Visiting and Royal College of Nursing. Ruth is the recipient of several national healthcare and business awards. She was named on The HSJ BME Pioneers 2014 List and The Nursing Times Leaders 2015 List.
