Mr Roger Stringer MBE has been appointed Her Majesty’s Ambassador to the Republic of Angola in succession to Mrs Jessica Hand who will be leaving the Diplomatic Service. Mr Stringer will take up his appointment during December 2021.
Mr Stringer was a British Army Officer in 1997 to 2004. He joined FCO as Second Secretary at the Counter Terrorism Department in 2004 – 2006 and was in Baghdad as Second Secretary in 2006.
Roger Stringer served as Second Secretary at Islamabad in 2006 – 2007. He was First Secretary in Pretoria in 2007 – 2010 and at Kabul as First Secretary in 2010 – 2011.
Roger served in Paris as First Secretary in 2012 – 2015 and at the FCO on Strategic Projects coordinator between, 2015 – 2016. He is serving in Islamabad as Political Counsellor since 2017 to present date.
Roger Stringer is married to Alexia and blessed with two children.
