Nollywood UK Best Actress Cordelia celebrates 50 in style

By Olayiwola Balogun – It was a gathering of crème de la crème of British Africans who gathered to honour Nollywood UK Best Actress, Cordelia Emeh, as she celebrated her Golden Jubilee, at the Andaz Hotel London, on Saturday, 29th August 2021.

The multiple award-winning Nollywood UK actress stepped out into the well decorated banquet hall dressed in her shimmering and stunning outfit looking very radiant.

She was accompanied by her beautiful family, close friends and colleagues in the film industry. The celebrated actress was showered with gifts and affection by everyone present. The cake cutting ceremony was conducted by veteran actress Golda John Abiola.

Gloria Ade, the MC livened up the evening by making the guests participate in various forms of games and entertainment making the evening one to be remembered for a very long time. 

Guests were treated to a sumptuous three-course buffet, while DJ Mind The Gap provided mixed melodious music to the delight of guests, who danced to their heart’s content into the early hours of the morning.

Actress Cordelia said, “I am so delighted and overwhelmed with this special show of love by so many people and my lovely family. Cordelia Emeh hails from Kemein-Ama, Opuama Town in Southern Ijaw Local Government Area of Bayelsa State, Nigeria. Cordelia has practised as an Accountant both in Nigeria and currently in the United Kingdom for 23 years. She is also a dynamic and multi-talented actress. Her acting career started as a teenager taking part in several stage plays but she could not continue with acting due to family and other pressures at the time.

She got back to pursue her passion and dream in acting after several years due to her strong determination after relocating to the UK.  Since 2012 she has worked with various directors and producers and featured in several TV series and movies; some of which are; International Games, Blood Type, Captivated, “69”, Housewives & Girlfriends, Enchained, Apostle Do Good, In a Strange land, Love Zone, Tears of the Rich, Love Triangle and many more.

Cordelia is also the producer of the amazing movie “My London Slave” which has gained her many awards and recognitions.
