The world is watching, as Africa’s most populous nation, Nigeria unleash armed Soldiers on young peaceful protesters, calling for an end to police brutality, at the Lekki Toll Gate in Lagos State.
The number of causalities are increasing as the young protesters remain defiant, demanding an end to police brutality.
There has been a disappointingly deafening silence from the ruling authorities in Lagos State and from the Federal Government of Nigeria on the killing of protesters by the Nigerian Army on the night of Tuesday 20 October 2020.
Fourteen days into the exceptionally peaceful protest, it is worrisome that the Nigerian government has lost the plot and have resulted into the killings of innocent young Nigerians.
