Nigeria Arise, a project set up to encourage and celebrate Nigerians in the diaspora will be holding its 6th annual awards dinner on Saturday 30th August 2014.
The award, which was launched in London in 2008 by founding executive Alistair Sayode, will highlight the achievements of Nigerians who have positively contributed to Nigeria’s image. It aims to celebrate Nigerians, who have been dedicated to bettering their communities with nominees from a large variety of industries including banking, media and Nigerian customs.
This year’s event, which is sponsored and organised by BEN TV, will be particularly important as Nigeria celebrates it centenary, and will return to London after being held in Nigeria last year.
Mr Soyode said: “This year’s Nigeria Arise will be different in the sense that, Nigeria celebrates her centenary. We are uniquely positioned to showcase Nigeria to the outside World and celebrate our leaders doing better than normal as well as captains in chosen business and careers”.
Nigeria Arise is a project set up to not only empower Nigerian communities but to also encourage the government and institutions to uplift its people, by creating viable solutions for the many challenges that the nation faces. They are particularly interested in the empowerment of the future generation, and do so through the use of seminars, conferences and the media.
