Nigeria: Adenrele Junior High School Shines at Edutec Expo 2019

By Olakunle Agboola – Sysdigit Communication Kent and OGTV Abeokuta for two years have jointly organized Edutec Expo, a platform created to encourage students to take initiative in solving myriads of problem facing Nigeria through Science and Technological Innovation.

     Schools across Nigeria have shown great interest and at the last quarter of the year they usually gather at OGTV Event Hall for the battle of the greatest innovator in Science and Technology. This has attracted industries seeing such creative endowments as a prototype to be commercialized. 

     This year took a new turn for Adenrele Junior High School, Ifo ,Ogun State who came first at the Science fair competition. It was a lump of joy and a rare moment of fulfillment    at the handing over of Offline e- Library Plus (a package by Sysdigit Education Support Systems) by the Assistant General Manager of OGTV, Mr Kayode Taiwo at the school.

    According to Mr Taiwo, Old Students Association, Parents–Teachers Association and other friends of the school have spent so much on the school to ensure a 24/7 Solar-powered Computer Centre.

     “Until EDUTEC EXPO 2019, we do not have any library. But we now have an offline electronic library. We are indeed very glad for this great development in the history of this school. And we are grateful to Sysdigit Education Support Systems.”

     “The offline electronic library is said to be at par with any school facilities all over the world with thousands of e-books and classroom educational videos in all subjects.     Speaking to newsmen, the students were so thrilled and happy to the extent that they are already planning what project they are going to do for the 2020 EDUTEC EXPO.

    According to Mr Oduko who spoke to the newsmen at the handing over of the Offline-Library package. He admonished all secondary school across Nigeria to get set for Edutec Expo 2020 by looking into problems facing Nigeria and how it can be solved through Science and Technological innovation.

    His Words:Edutec Expo is becoming a huge platform for secondary school students across Nigeria to express their creative wisdom in Science and Technology. This has been successful for two years and we will be extending our tentacles to higher institutions across Nigeria coming 2020. We are using this medium to solicit for sponsors and partners which cut across corporate organizations, parents, old students association and individuals to come into the aids of Edutec Expo and make Africa what it ought to be in terms of Science and Technological Innovation.
