Ms Josephine Gauld has been appointed Her Majesty’s Ambassador to the Republic of Côte d’Ivoire in succession to Mr Mark Bensberg, who will be transferring to another Diplomatic Service appointment.
Ms Gauld will take up her appointment during August 2016. She has served in Abidjan, as First Secretary (Cote d’Ivoire, Niger, and Burkina Faso) between 2007 – 2009. As well as in Abuja, as Deputy Head of Political Section (Economic Community of West African States and External Affairs), 2012 – 2014.
