Exploring London with Ama and Neri by Pelena Cosme is an exciting new children’s picture book that introduces young black families to the many adventures they can have around the town.
The book entitled Exploring London with Ama and Neri was released on the 1st August, 2020, a short yet colourful children’s picture book following the adventure of two sisters at London Zoo. Big sister Ama has to ensure little Neri has all she needs to not spoil an otherwise sunny and educational day at the zoo.
Pelena Cosme in a chat with African Voice said, “A unique part of our book is that we recommend top ten treats around London so families can have a practical list to kickstart their adventures.
“The book is in paperback format, is 10″ x 7″ inches and retails for £9.99. It is aimed at 0-5’s but can be enjoyed by kids up to 8 years old according to the feedback we have received from the first run.”
The book was released on Black Pound Day on Saturday 1st August, 2020 and already has keen interest from Africa and America via the books growing instagram page, which further shows there is still a need for diverse books around the world.
The author has offered tips on things to do around London, advice for mothers who are venturing out alone with two or more children and similar topics. The book is available on:
