Mariah Carey has been advised to postpone her ‘birthday concert’ in Brussels following the terror attacks on the city’s main airport and Metro system on Tuesday.
The singer is currently touring Europe with her Sweet Sweet Fantasy tour and was expected to play Brussels this Sunday. However, her security team is warning Mariah to cancel the concert after the terror attacks on the Belgian capital.
According to TMZ, Carey’s security team believe her stop at the Forest National venue could be a target as she is performing the gig on her 46th birthday.
There are also concerns that the songstress and her team may not be able to reach the city due to airport closures. As of Wednesday, Zaventem Airport in Brussels remained closed, and heightened security is expected to impair movement around the city for a few days.
No official decision has been made on Sunday’s concert, with her team awaiting advice from the US embassy.
