By Our reporter – The representatives of the Muslim Association of Nigeria UK (MANUK) paid a courtesy call on the Nigerian High Commissioner to the UK, His Excellency Ambassador Sarafa Tunji Isola at his Abuja House official residence, Kensington London recently.

The visit provided a good opportunity for Chief Imam Tajudeen Salami, who led the delegation to introduce the key officers of the Muslim organisation to the ambassador and to establish contact with him since his resumption of duties in the UK.

The delegation had very robust discussions with the Ambassador about the laudable contributions that Nigerians are making in different areas of life in the UK as well as the problems they face and how these could be alleviated.

His Excellency was briefed on the history of London’s oldest Nigerian Muslim community mosque and the progress on the rebuilding project of the Old Kent Road Mosque and Islamic Cultural Centre that the association has embarked upon.

In his welcome address, Ambassador Sarafa Isola disclosed his laudable plans for improving the services offered to Nigerians by the Nigeria High Commission London.

The group thanked His Excellency for his goodwill and promised their support to the Ambassador and also offered to disseminate information about the good plans the Ambassador has in improving the services of the Nigeria High Commission in the UK, thereby enhancing the Commission’s interactions with Nigerians living in the UK.

His Excellency, Ambassador Isola, and his amiable wife very well received the MANUK representatives who offered prayers for the success of the Ambassador’s tenure and also for Nigeria and Nigerians generally.
