A man who stabbed another man while he was dining with friends at popular restaurant Nando’s has been sentenced to 10 years in prison, for Grievous Bodily Harm with intent.
On Friday 9th May 2015, 20 year-old Pedrito Domingos entered a Nandos restaurant in Romford, and approached the victim another 20 year old man, who was enjoying a meal with two of his friends.

Police officers arrived on the scene quickly, where an escaping Dominigos, identified by CCTV footage, was soon apprehended, along with the large silver knife used in the attack, which had been stashed in a pizza box.
Police then searched Domingos vehicle and discovered receipts for two steel items and plastic cookery tools. A sheath, around the same size as the knife, was also found.
The victim, who is said to have been a long standing feud with Dominigos, was left with four stab wounds on various parts of his body.
Domingos was remanded in custody, where 14 packs of cocaine were found in his possession. He was soon charged with attempted murder and possession of class A drugs with intent to supply.
He was found not guilty of attempted murder, but pleaded guilty to wounding with intent and possession of class A drugs.
He was sentenced to 10 years imprisonment for GBH and an additional 3 month in jail for possession too run concurrently.
“This was a horrific pre-meditated attack in a busy restaurant with numerous families with young children present. I can only hope that residents of Havering are reassured now that this dangerous man has been removed from their streets. Attacks of this nature are thankfully very rare in Havering and our officers’ swift response to this incident demonstrates how seriously we take this type of crime,” Acting Detective Chief Inspector, Denise Johnson, stated.
“I would like to thank Nando’s staff and witnesses present for their support and co-operation. I would also like to praise uniformed officers and local CID for their efforts following this horrendous attack and securing this excellent final outcome,” she added.
