According to a report in Us Weekly, Solange Knowles is set to marry her longtime boyfriend Alan Ferguson in New Orleans this weekend! Sources say the ceremony will take place near the home they share with her son Julez, 10.
Until now, the 28-year-old has kept her engagement to the 51-year-old director a total secret — so it’s not surprising she was less than forthcoming on the details of her big day!
Sources say wedding guests will enjoy a movie night on Friday and a rehearsal dinner on Saturday. The couple will then make it official by exchanging vows in front of their closest companions on Sunday, November 16!
In March, the usually private singer opened up about her love life with her 51-year-old beau — and dished on her first husband, Daniel Smith, who fathered her son.
“We co-parent really well. I’m able to say, ‘I need to finish this album, can you step up and take care of the boy?’” she gushed to Harper’s Bazaar.
“Luckily, I dated all of the losers ages ago. My love life has been stable for a while.”
Ferguson has been close to the Knowles family for many years and presented a gong at the 2012 BET Awards alongside Beyoncé – for whom he also directed a music video. He and Solange have been photographed at various events together and also shared snaps of a romantic trip to Jamaica in June for her 28th birthday.
