By Ngozi Oluwole – The Nigerian High Commissioner to the United Kingdom, Ambassador Tunji Sarafa Isola, received commendations from visiting traditional rulers from Ogun State, when he hosted a delegation of the royal fathers in his office on Tuesday 29 August 2023.
Led by the Akarigbo and paramount ruler of Remoland, His Royal Majesty, Oba Dr. Babatunde Adewale Ajayi, CFR – Commander of the Federal Republic – the royal fathers said they were impressed by the work the ambassador had put in towards improving Nigeria’s image.
Speaking with the African Voice during the visit, Akarigbo said, aside from coming to thank him for attending “Remo Day“ celebration over the weekend, he was “impressed with how he has transformed this place“ – the embassy. “We are in awe of how he transformed this place,” Ajayi added.
Continuing, the royal father said: ”he’s done a great job for the image of Nigeria,” since assuming the role. The paramount ruler described the visit of the delegation to the High Commission as a “privilege and honour.”
Asked of his relationship with Ambassador Isola, the “Kabiyesi” – described him as a “friend of Remo” since his days as a Minister.
The Radanuwa of Idado Sagamu, Musiliyu Oriyomi Soile, also spoke to the African Voice, saying: ”the environment is wonderful.” Moreover, he said the royal fathers were: ”proud to be identified with what the Ambassador is doing here.”

A. Akarigbo.
