All may not be so rosy in the Martinez-Berry household, according to the rumour mill. It is suggested that the 13-month marriage between Halle Berry and her French actor husband Olivier Martinez may be on the rocks.

The 48-year-old Academy Award-winning actress married the French actor in July 2013 and they welcomed their first child together, son Maceo, in October. Now new reports suggest they are heading for divorce.

“The whole family was supposed to go on a make-or-break holiday [to celebrate the couple’s first anniversary in July], but that fell apart because neither Olivier nor Halle wanted to make it happen,” a source told America’s OK! magazine. “They have drifted apart and only get together for the sake of Maceo. They’re just delaying the inevitable – announcing their split.”

Apparently Halle is concerned about Olivier’s alleged career slump. It is claimed he has gained weight and a beard while she’s been working hard on her new TV show, Extant, in addition to other film projects.

“His career has dried up. He’s been taking small TV roles, but nothing that has tied him down for more than a handful of episodes,” the insider said. “Halle has lost a bit of respect for him. The spark they once had has burned out.”

Halle, who is also mother to six-year-old daughter Nahla from her relationship with model Gabriel Aubry, unsuccessfully petitioned family court to move with Olivier and family to his native France.

It was previously claimed their Los Angeles lifestyle has impacted their marriage negatively for quite some time.

“Olivier’s told Halle he’s tired of LA and wants to move back to France. He wants her to follow him and for them to start a new life in Paris,” a source told Closer magazine. “They’ve already been having problems because of their hectic work schedules and it’s causing a huge amount of tension.”
