Award winning comedy, Gone Too Far, starring veteran actress Golda John (A Fantastic Fear of Everything) will be making its cinema debut next month.
The film, an adaptation of Bola Agbaje’s Olivier Award-winning play of the same name, stars O.C Ukeje (Half of a Yellow Sun) and Malachi Kirby (My brother the Devil) alongside Golda John, Shanika Warren-Markland and Adelayo Adedayo.
Directed by Destiny Ekaragha, and set on an estate in Peckham, Gone Too Far follows a day in the life of a pair of estranged brothers; one from England and one from Nigeria, as they meet for the first time and try to navigate their new relationship amidst the struggles of being a young in London, as well as understanding each other’s differences.
It offers interesting commentary on the racial complexities that come with living in multi-cultural London and being a second generation Diasporan while simultaneously managing to be incredibly funny and entertaining.
The film, which is supported by the BFI film fund, originally premiered at the London Film Festival last year and will be showing in the following cinemas across the UK from October 10th.
