Ghana trio Andre Ayew, Christian Atsu and Harrison Afful have been named in CAF’s team of the tournament for the just ended Africa Cup of Nations.
Ayew, who emerged top scorer of the tournament with three goals and two assists, found his name on the compilation done by the Technical Study Group.
He was named among Ivorian trio Yaya Toure, Max Gradel and Gervinho in a five-man midfield which also had DR Congo’s Yannick Bolasie.
Right-back Afful was named in a three-man defence which consisted of Ivorian duo Serge Aurier and Kolo Toure.
Atsu, named the tournament’s best player, will a two-man attack alongside Wilfried Bony.
CAF named two goalkeepers- Sylvain Gbohouo (Côte d’Ivoire) and Robert Kidiaba (RD Congo)
Winners Cote d’Ivoire dominated the team with seven players.
