Ghana coach Kwesi Appiah has maintained the core of his players to face Egypt this month in the World Cup playoff return leg.

Schalke 04 ace Kevin-Prince Boateng, who was injured for first leg tie, has been recalled for the deciding match.

Ukraine-based Dominic Adiyiah has been called up for the third time in the qualifiers after impressing for Arsenal Kyiv.

He replaces Norway-based Mahatma Otoo who failed to make the most of the opportunities handed him.

Esperance versatile defender Harrison Afful returns to the select band of players after missing the corresponding fixture due to suspension.

Free State Stars’ first choice goalkeeper Daniel Agyei has been invited to take the place of veteran Richard Kingson.

Stars performers Andre Ayew, Michael Essien, Sulley Muntari, Kwadwo Asamoah and Mubarak Wakaso have retained their places.

Captain Asamoah Gyan and his strike partner Abdul Majeed Waris lead the list of attackers which also include Jordan Ayew.

Ghana’s squad will be camping in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia from 11 November and will arrive in Cairo on 18 November, a day before the match at the Air Defense Stadium.
