The Federal Government of Nigeria and the Nigerian in Diaspora Commission have endorsed IA-Foundation and commended the organization for its contribution to national growth and development through strategic support in the nation’s education sector.

These commendations came ahead of the Foundation’s 4th Annual Black-Tie Charity Event scheduled to hold on March 18th 2023, themed Securing the Future.

The accolades were contained in goodwill messages written and signed by the Vice President of Nigeria, His Excellency, Professor Yemi Osibanjo and the Chairperson of the Nigerians in Diaspora Commission, Honourable Abike Dabiri respectively.

Professor Osibanjo commended the Foundation for its effort in reducing the percentage of girls who are unable to access education due to poverty, insecurity or poor orientation about the importance of educating them. According to him “Given the number of girls who remain out-of-school in our country, and may never have the opportunity of formal education, girl-child education is an all-important assignment. I wholeheartedly commend the commitment and dedication that you have deployed to the task so far.”

Furthermore, Honorable Abike Dabiri, commended the Foundation for her consistency over the last 4 years in ensuring children who are out-of-school are able to access quality education regardless of their background.

“For an organization that has over 95% of its leadership based in the UK to have executed projects across 9 states in Nigeria and helping about 100 children back to school is highly commendable. The Government needs the support and partnership of the diaspora communities and I am happy that IA-Foundation is complementing the efforts of our government in the educational sector to combat the issue of out-of-school children” she said.

She called on other Nigerians and Nigerian owned businesses in the Diaspora to emulate IA-Foundation and be part of the development and transformation of the country.

The IA-Foundation Charity Ball is an annual event that is organized to intimate well-meaning individuals and corporate sector organizations about the education deficit in Nigeria and mobilize resources to provide quality education for out-of-school children in Nigeria.
