On Thursday 27th November, guests enjoyed a champagne, red carpet reception as the new event (and television show) Dine & View @ Z’bra Lounge, successfully launched to an audience of distinguished media & Nollywood personalities.
This new concept in Thursday night entertainment brings together the best of Nollywood Cinema – the second largest producing film industry in the world – and the finest cuisine. Every last Thursday of the month Dine & View @ Z’bra Lounge screens a Nollywood film, before a carefully selected audience who feast on affordable, delectable food as they watch.
After the screening, members of the audience have the privileged opportunity to engage in a question & answer session with the Director of the film and members of the cast, in a unique concept that is set to challenge Nollywood and the production ethics surrounding the industry.
The film of choice for the maiden edition of Dine & View @ Z’bra Lounge was British Film Institute award winner, Ilu Oba (The Queen’s Land), Directed by Taiwo Oduala.
Both the Director and members of the cast were put through their paces on panel as they faced robust questions from journalists and peers.
Owing to the Christmas period, the next event takes place Thursday 18th December, when another brilliantly shot film with a leading cast take to the Dine & View platform. For registration, guests are required to ‘like’ the Z’bra Facebook page and send a message to be considered for the next screening.
