It is 100 days on 22nd July since Boko Haram abducted 276 Nigerian girls in Chibok.

Despite efforts around the world to raise awareness of the kidnappings and to bring the girls safely home, they have still not been found.

On the 22nd of July a rally, led by the Nigerian Women in the Diaspora Leadership Forum, will be held outside the Nigerian High Commission in London, renew the plea to find the abducted girls.

The president of the group stated:

“This is one of the most audacious attacks on civilization and women development in Nigeria and perhaps human history.

We were all affronted and have since been standing together in solidarity in demanding their rescue and safe return to their parents.

We have no doubt that the Nigerian government and international communities who have offered to help in their rescue are working really hard but time is of the essence and we cannot wait too long for their return.

We must keep them in the news and never let other news worthy events overshadow the need to rescue them.

We call upon every well-meaning Nigerian and friends of Nigeria to help us in delivering our 100 days #bringbackourgirls message and pleas.”

Nigerian President Goodluck Jonathan recently pledged to do his best to help find the girls and has said he is looking to borrow one billion dollars to help him defeat Boko Haram.
