The pioneer and ‘King’ of this genre, the multi-award winning eclectic star has captivated audiences with popular hits such as; “Moyen Te”, “Gate Le Coin”, “Abidjan Debout”, “Sequestration”, “Coupe Bibamba” and “Karolina”.
Awilo Longomba is celebrating his 30 year extensive career within music in a special way, treating fans to new material, releasing his highly anticipated new album.
The ‘Techno Soukous’ King has already surprised and delighted fans with a recent collaboration, featuring African songstress Lola Rae on an explosive remix for one of his greatest hits and an African anthem of all time, “Coupe Bibamba”.
Having been recognised and awarded by former and late South African President, Nelson Mandela during 2001’s KORA Award ceremony for his contribution to African music, Awilo Longomba remains an instrumental figure within the African music industry.
Awilo has repeatedly staged show at stadiums and arenas across Africa- Kenya, Uganda, Tanzania, DR Congo, South Africa, Nigeria, Ivory Coast are just to name a few along having toured and perfomed across the globe in countries such as; Japan, Australia, Malaysia, Europe and the USA.
