As Sunmonu pledges better days ahead for Constituent
Working in collaboration with the community to reconstruct a bridge which links about 30 inland communities in Akobo area of Lagelu Local Government in Oyo state, the Senator representing Oyo Central Senatorial District, Senator Monsurat Olajumoke Sunmonu has brought respite to the people of the area.
Sunmonu who promised not to deviate from her electoral promises to her people, said Materials have now been purchased and work is well underway to ensuring that school children and workers can access the main road safely in order to continue with the daily activities.
“During the campaign I came here and my team took note of the dilapidated bridge. We have now come back to help the people as promised. We are taking the projects one by one with the little finances available to us. I thank God that my constituents are understanding of the financial situation of the country but we are working round the clock to bring smile on your faces”, she stated.
Sunmonu who also chairs Senate Committee on Foreign Affairs, in order to expedite action on the project made a 75% financial contribution towards the reconstruction of the bridge and commended the Landlords of the area for their collaborative efforts and patient, saying that “I therefore ask that everyone is patient with this President Buhari led government. I have faith that we will see a positive change in Nigeria.”. The Senator, in line with her electoral promises has continued to bring the dividends of democracy to the people she represents.
