CAFOnline.com highlights five rising stars expected to shine in Morocco:

Lamine Camara (Senegal – 20 Years Old)

Lamine Camara has already emerged as a pivotal figure for Senegal’s “Teranga Lions” and French club AS Monaco at just 20 years old.

A graduate of Senegal’s Génération Foot academy, Camara began his European journey with Metz before joining Monaco at the start of the 2024-25 season. His efforts earned him the 2024 CAF Young Player of the Year award, besting Côte d’Ivoire’s Karim Konaté and Oumar Diakité.

With his dynamic midfield presence and technical prowess, Camara is expected to dazzle on the AFCON stage, further solidifying his burgeoning reputation.

Karim Konaté (Côte d’Ivoire – 20 Years Old)

Ivory Coast forward Karim Konaté has been a standout performer for Red Bull Salzburg, continuing his rise in German football.

After leaving Ivorian club ASEC Mimosas in June 2022, Konaté quickly adapted to European football, showcasing his scoring instincts and technical brilliance.

As one of the Elephants’ key young players, Konaté will have the eyes of fans and scouts alike on him, with expectations high for his contributions to Côte d’Ivoire’s title defense.

Amine Memmiche (Tunisia – 20 Years Old)

Young Tunisian goalkeeper Amine Memmiche has been turning heads with his performances for Espérance de Tunis in both the domestic league and the CAF Champions League.

Memmiche’s commanding presence and agility between the posts have marked him as Tunisia’s goalkeeper of the future. With AFCON 2025 on the horizon, he will aim to showcase his talent on the continental stage, further establishing himself as a cornerstone for the Carthage Eagles.

Oumar Diakité (Côte d’Ivoire – 21 Years Old)

Côte d’Ivoire midfielder Oumar Diakité has been lighting up European and French football with Stade de Reims.

Under coach Emerse Faé, Diakité has become an integral part of the Ivorian national team. His vision, precision, and relentless work rate have made him indispensable to the Elephants’ midfield.

AFCON 2025 represents a major opportunity for Diakité to continue his meteoric rise while helping Côte d’Ivoire retain its continental crown.

Ibrahim Maza (Algeria – 19 Years Old)

Algerian prodigy Ibrahim Maza made headlines when he chose to represent Algeria instead of Germany, where he previously played at youth level.

Currently starring for Hertha Berlin, Maza has impressed with his technical skills and composure, drawing interest from several top European clubs.

At just 19, Maza will look to use AFCON 2025 as a platform to solidify his place in the Desert Foxes’ squad and further his reputation as one of Africa’s brightest young talents.
