By Olubunmi Omoogun – The Osun State Commissioner for Commerce and Industry, Rev. Bunmi Jenyo penned a glowing tribute to his bosom friend, the Ovation Magazine Publisher, Chief Dele Momodu on his 65th birthday.
In a statement released and personally signed by the indefatigable Osun Commissioner, he described Chief Momodu as a man of vision and resilience.
Rev. Jenyo said, “My relationship with Aare Dele Momodu spanned from the days of MKO Abiola-For-President and NADECO struggle. He is a man of vision whose resilience, dedication and inspiring pursuit for excellence cannot be underestimated”.
The Commissioner went further to note that both of them were friends in the United Kingdom (UK) where the Commissioner was a committed figure in the UK Ovation Magazine set-up and promoter, back in the days.
While lauding Chief Momodu for his doggedness, Rev. Jenyo said, as the Former South West PDP Zonal Secretary, was Chief Momodu’s main man during his 2023 PDP Presidency ambition who organized an enabling environment at the National Secretariat, Wadatta Plaza, Abuja to get recognition by the then leadership of the PDP.
He said we reflect on your years of dedicated service and forthright character which has significantly shaped everything the erudite Magazine Publisher lays his hands on.
“Your steadfast commitment to Nigeria’s development and unity inspires many, young and old.”
Rev. Jenyo said, a personal friend to the Osun State Governor, Chief Momodu, popularly known as “Bob Dee” is an amazing, inspiring and pleasant personality that anyone can be happy to be with.
The Commissioner recounted that Dele Momodu was part of his successful UK project for African Businesses and event tagged “Africa Business Partners Dinner’ supported by one of the biggest Banks in UK, NATWEST Bank and Western Union Money Transfer Company in the 1990s”.
Rev. Jenyo appreciates Chief Momodu for his friendship and support. While also wishing the former presidential candidate longevity and strength, the Commissioner prays that he continues to enjoy the favour of the Almighty GOD for more positive impact and greater attainment in life.
