An exclusive lineup of the UK’s most innovative beauty brands is set to take centre stage at Cosmoprof India 2024, being held in Mumbai from 5 to 7 December at the Jio World Convention Centre. Cosmoprof India is the leading business-to-business (B2B) event for the thriving beauty market in India.

The delegation of 17 companies will showcase the diversity and innovation of the UK’s £24.5 billion beauty industry, featuring skincare, cosmetics, haircare, nailcare, manufacturing, and beauty-tech sectors. This initiative builds on the wide-ranging trade collaboration that exists between the UK and India, worth £42 billion a year and rising.

His Majesty’s Trade Commissioner for South Asia, Harjinder Kang, said: Trade, across sectors, is at the heart of the UK-India partnership, and I’m excited to see the ambition reflected in the beauty sector as well. The UK’s beauty brands are perfectly positioned to offer quality and value to the booming Indian market. As we celebrate the innovation that fuels this dynamic sector at Cosmoprof India, I’m hopeful Indian business leaders will recognise the value in creating impactful partnerships with the diverse range of UK brands exhibiting at this event.

Delilah, a multiple award-winning luxury British cosmetics brand, offering cruelty-free, vegan and high-performance products powered by plants is announcing its launch at the event.

Frauke G Hamer, Export Director and Co-founder of Delilah said: We are thrilled to announce our exciting partnership with Maison Adriane in India. This marks a significant milestone in our journey to bring our cruelty-free beauty products to a global audience. With their expertise and shared passion for quality, we’re confident this partnership will inspire beauty lovers across India and beyond. Together, we’re set to achieve something truly remarkable.

Another British brand announcing its entry into India is Eve Taylor. Established in 1963 as an independent family-owned professional-only brand, Eve Taylor presents itself as a truly sustainable brand using renewable energy to manufacture up to 95% post-consumer recycled materials (see annex for detail) in their product packaging.

Dame Eve Taylor, DBE, Chairman & Founder of Eve Taylor, said: Eve Taylor® is delighted and very proud to announce that we have recently secured a new distribution deal for India. We are extremely excited to introduce our professional brand and now be a part of one of the world’s most dynamic marketplaces for professional beauty and wellbeing.  The opportunities to grow and develop our brand across India are amazing.

Dr. PAWPAW, the third launch at the event, was founded in 2013 by husband-and-wife duo Johnny and Pauline Paterson. They use PAWPAW (Papaya Fruit) as the main ingredient in their products and cater to people’s skin and lips in over 35 countries around the globe.

Johnny Paterson, Co-founder at Dr. PAWPAW said: Dr. PAWPAW is absolutely delighted to partner with Kanvar Group in India. Dr. PAWPAW has long been demanded by the Indian consumer but finding the right route to market was very important to us. We know that the Kanvar team will be helping us to deliver a strategic launch across multiple retailers around the Indian market.

In 2023, UK companies, comprising leaders and innovators in organic and natural beauty, exported nearly £4 billion worth of beauty and personal care products across the world, with India being one of the UK’s top five markets outside the European Union.
