Melvin Onwubuke – The Netherlands’ Prime Minister, Mark Rutte, has announced a new investment of $250 million to Nigeria.

This was disclosed during a meeting between the Dutch president and Nigeria’s President Bola Tinubu in Holland.

President Tunubu is currently on a working visit to the Netherlands

Prime Minister Rutte said the economic reforms undertaken by President Tinubu have been a catalyst for greater confidence among international investors in Nigeria’s economy.

The prime minister emphasised the commitment of Dutch investors to invest $250 million in various sectors in the coming months, with a significant $100 million earmarked for a waste-to-wealth industrial project in Lagos State.

President Tinubu reiterated Nigeria’s commitment and readiness for business to foreign investors.

The Forum is reported to create an opportunity to showcase Nigeria’s investment potential and the conducive environment it provides for profitable investments.

Following an earlier engagement, the meeting between President Tinubu and Prime Minister Rutte focus on the mutual commitment to strengthening bilateral relations and exploring ways of economic cooperation.

President Tinubu, in a state visit to the Netherlands, has held fruitful discussions with senior government officials and business leaders from that country which have emphasised Nigeria’s enormous opportunities for investment as well as guaranteed returns on investments.
