26-year old victim of the unresolved fatal stabbing in Woolwich, London, Emmanuel Ayodeji Ogabi is to be buried on Monday 20th December 2021 at the Eltham Crematorium.

Emmanuel was found in the street of Woolwich with fatal injuries. He was believed to have been attacked by a group of men a few hours before he was found.

Police were called at 07:48hrs on Thursday, 21 October 2021 to Sandy Hill Road, SE18 to a man collapsed in the street.

The London Ambulance Service attended and Emmanuel was pronounced dead at the scene.

A post-mortem examination found the cause of death to be a single stab wound.

Police contacted the next of kin, Mrs Bolanle Ogabi on Friday 22ndOctober 2021 at 6.30pm. 

Mrs Ogabi said, “Though I teach two roads away from the crime scene, up till today the so-called Liaison officers have given no support to us. 

However, three suspects have been arrested and charged for the murderer of Emmanuel Ayodeji Ogabi. His remains were released to us on Wednesday 15th December 2021 and he will be buried on Monday 20th December 2021 at 11.30am.”

The parents of Emmanuel Ayodeji Ogabi are Samuel Ogabi a Pastor & counsellor and the mother, a teacher in one of the CE primary schools.

Detective Chief Inspector Richard Leonard is leading the murder investigation, from the Met’s Specialist Crime Command.

DCI Leonard said: “We are specifically appealing for anyone who was in Burridge Place or Sandy Hill Road from 11.40pm to 11.45pm on Wednesday, 20 October.

“Analysis of CCTV footage shows Emmanuel was surrounded by a group of males and we would like to identify who they are.”

On Friday, 12 November, officers arrested Denzel Maposa, 23 of Bromley Gardens, Dunstable and Onyema Olisa, 26 of Boone Street SE13. Both men were charged with murder. Detectives from the Met’s Specialist Crime Command have also charged a third person, Shai Bosman-Allen, 20 of Windmill Close, SE13, who was charged on Wednesday, 8 December. He appeared at Thames Magistrates’ Court on Thursday, 9 December.

The 26-year old Emmanuel Ayodeji Ogabi was born in Isheri-Idimu in Lagos State, Nigeria and raised in London. He is survived by his mother, father, two sisters, brother and a daughter, Anna-Rose Aramide Ogabi.
