Dear Readers, there has been a lot of debates, discussions, preachings and impressions that Coronavirus is the judgement from God. Well, it’s from the god of this age – Devil (2Cor. 4:4) and not from the Living God that I belong and I serve. The descriptions of what is going on now perfectly meet the activities of the devil mentioned by Jesus in John 10:10. Coronavirus is stealing the economy, killing people in multitude and destroying lives all over the world, these are the activities of the devil. But Jesus has come to give us abundant life and not abundant death like we are seeing.
Secondly, what’s happening now are the results and the consequences of all what we’ve sown. The Bible says, “Do not be deceived, God is not mocked; for whatever a man sows, that he will also reap. For he who sows to his flesh will of the flesh reap corruption, but he who sows to the Spirit will of the Spirit reap everlasting life.” Gal. 6:7-8. The people of the world have sown all sorts of evil, unmentionable sins, unbelievable abominations, unheard atrocities and highest degrees of disobedience to God’s World. What do we expect to reap? Goodness, life, peace or joy? I doubt it! It’s the law of nature, “While the earth remains, Seedtime and harvest, Cold and heat, Winter and summer, And day and night Shall not cease.” Gen. 8:22.
The world is reaping what we’ve sown. Don’t blame God!
Thirdly, we are not in the era of God’s judgement yet. When Jesus was quoting His mission statement from the book of Isaiah 61, He stopped by saying; “To proclaim the acceptable year of the LORD.” Luke 4:19. He never mentioned “……And the day of vengeance of our God;…Isa. 61:2. Which was part of the same sentence as we are not yet in that dispensation yet.
Actually, if the judgement of the Lord will start, it must start from the House of the Lord (1Pet. 4:17). We are yet to see satanic Pastors, Bishops, Leaders and Congregations dropping dead in the House of God in multitude. Thank God, the Holy Spirit is still in the world; “For the mystery of lawlessness is already at work; only He who now restrains will do so until He is taken out of the way.” 2Thes. 2:17. Therefore, what we are seeing now can not be compared with the era of God’s judgement at all. “Far be it from You to do such a thing as this, to slay the righteous with the wicked, so that the righteous should be as the wicked; far be it from You! Shall not the Judge of all the earth do right?” Gen. 18:25
Dear Readers, surely, this pandemic is not from God but it’s working towards the fulfilment of the Scriptures, preparing the way for Jesus’ second coming and it’s not happening without the knowledge of God. For example, those who crucified Jesus were moved by hatred, religion bigotry and by their father – devil to do so. But it all happened to fulfil the plans of God. Peter on the day of Pentecost said, “Him, being delivered by the determined purpose and foreknowledge of God, you have taken by lawless hands, have crucified, and put to death;” Acts 2:23. So what’s happening now is not directly from God, but they’re all working to the fulfilment of the ultimate and overall plans of God.
It is pertinent to say that it’s not only Coronavirus pandemic that is working towards to second coming of Jesus, but also including the 5G, religious globalisation, economy globalisation, Brexit, rise of China, Papacy, great inventions and advanced technology. What should the Kingdom Citizens do now? Let’s hold on to our God, pray without ceasing, we should all repent our evil ways, stop sowing evils, evangelise like never before, be expecting Jesus’ second coming anytime, don’t be distracted, walk in the Spirit at all times, reject false teachings, read, study and obey the Bible at all times. Finally, as this is not from God, let’s “Therefore submit to God. Resist the devil and he will flee from you.” James 4:7. Let’s use our authority in Jesus to stop this pandemic from coming near us and even to stop outrightly in the world. We have the authority, let’s all rise up in one voice to command this to stop globally. Surely, the Lord shall protect us and answer our prayers. Remain blessed!
