British citizens woke up to the great news of the birth of a baby boy to Prince Harry and wife Meghan on Monday 6th of May at 5.26am UK time.
The proud father, the Duke of Sussex says, ‘I am so incredibly proud of my wife. Mother and baby are doing incredibly well. It’s incredibly well. It’s been the most amazing experience l could ever have possibly imagined. I am over the moon.’
Buckingham Palace has announced that Duchess of Sussex, Meghan, had given birth to a baby boy. Prince Harry, the Duke of Sussex was present for the birth of the child, who was born at 5.26am and weighed seven pounds and three ounces.
In the tradition of the royal family, a town crier had proclaimed the birth outside of Windsor Castle on Monday, May 6.
Royal lovers across the world and especially in Africa and America are eagerly awaiting the name of the royal baby boy. Many are hoping the name of baby Sussex will reflect Africa because of the love and attachment of Harry and Meghan to the continent.
Leading the list of suggested African royal names to the new parents is Baboloki meaning ‘saviour’, person who saves. In Botswana, Baboloki is a name for a male child that will be powerful. This Southern African country is where many believe Duke and Duchess of Sussex discovered themselves during the early days of their relationship and truly fell in love.
Well-wishers believe the new baby will bring joy to many across the world, especially to the disadvantaged across the developing world, considering the work Harry and Meghan have pledged to be engaged in.
Other suggested royal baby’s names include Charles. It is believed the royal baby boy will share his grandfather’s name. The Queen, Harry’s grandmother, his father Prince Charles and step mother Camilla, in a press release said they’re delighted with the news of the baby’s birth.
Prince Harry said, ‘We are still thinking about names. The baby’s a little bit overdue, so we’ve had little bit of time to think about it, but that’s the next bit’.
