Nineties RnB trio SWV are attempting a return to the limelight by appearing in a US documentary-style reality show, ‘SWV – Sisters With Voices’, along the lines of ITV2’s The Big Reunion. WEtv will air the show some time in 2014.

“The journey of SWV is the kind of real and personal comeback story our viewers love to see,” said Lauren Gellert, WEtv’s senior vice president of original production and development. “These dynamic women experienced enormous success together, then it all fell apart. United again, the stakes are higher than ever, and so – at times – is the drama and tension. We can’t wait to present this fresh, new series to WEtv viewers.”

Cheryl “Coko” Gamble (now Clemons), Leanne “Lelee” Lyons and Tamara “Taj” Johnson broke up after ’90s success in 1998. Their second and most successful album, entitled New Beginning, sold more than one million copies in the US alone. They reunited briefly in 2005 for some shows and an album that never materialised, and then signed with Mass Appeal Entertainment in 2011. I Missed Us, the group’s fifth studio album, was released in 2012.
