Terrence Higgins Trust (THT) launches workshop for partners, friends and family of people living with HIV in London.
Terrence Higgins Trust in London has launched a new workshop ‘Partners, Friends and Family’ to support people who care about someone who is living with HIV, with a focus within black African communities.
Over 500 black Africans were diagnosed with HIV in London, according to last years HIV figures. The new workshop aims to support people who care about someone living with HIV, share experiences and ask questions in a safe and friendly environment.
Following the successful run of workshops in Brighton, Terrence Higgins Trust is hosting the workshop in London to increase knowledge of living with the health condition, emotional wellbeing and healthy relationships.
The charity invites people regardless of gender, sexuality or HIV status, to register online to attend the workshop on 27 February in Kings Cross, London.
Ben Tooke, Groupwork Coordinator at Terrence Higgins Trust said: “We understand that those close to someone living with HIV often want to find out more about how they can support them. This workshop provides a friendly and safe environment for family, friends and partners to learn more about the health condition, ask questions and share experiences.”
