Osun Governor’s Political Might Grows Stronger, As PDP Leaders Back Him Unanimously 

By Olubunmi Omoogun – The popularity of the Governor of Osun State, His Excellency, Sen. Ademola Jackson Nurudeen Adeleke has continued to soar rapidly as political stakeholders as well as leaders in the state have promised to collapse their political groups and party structures to guarantee the political and electoral success of the Osun Governor going into the 2026 gubernatorial election in the state. 

As part of efforts to give Governor Adeleke their maximum support, the Osun People’s Democratic Party (PDP) leadership caucus has passed a vote of confidence on Governor Ademola Adeleke, unanimously abiding by any decision the Governor takes on the growing rumour of defection to another political party.

The leaders who commended the Governor for his exceptional leadership qualities and stellar records and  performance in office, urged him to continue his series of consultations with all stakeholders locally and nationally, in order to further strengthen his political influence as well as carrying everybody in the state along.

The legion of political leaders which formed a strong caucus met in Osogbo, the Osun State  capital, to express their political allegiance to the Osun Governor at the meeting held at the Banquet hall of the Government House with detailed discussions and contributions by all leaders in the meeting. 

In attendance at the meeting were representatives of all sections of the party and government namely the National Assembly caucus, the State Assembly caucus, the State Executive Council, the State Executive of the party, the Special Advisers’ Forum, the elders caucus and the state chapter of ALGON leadership.

After briefing from Governor Ademola Adeleke and exhaustive deliberations by leaders, the meeting issued a communique to signal its direction on the issue at the moment.

In the communique, the PDP state leadership resolved to follow Governor Ademola Jackson Nurudeen Adeleke wherever he goes.

The meeting however recognized that the Governor is still consulting on next lines of action.

Bola Ajao.

The Osun State Governor will continue to bring dividends of good governance and purposeful leadership to the people of the State as he slugs it out with other candidates in the forthcoming gubernatorial election in Osun State.
