David said, “I will lift up my eyes to the hills; from whence comes my help? My help comes from the Lord, Who made heaven and earth.” (Psalm 121:1-2).

Dear Reader, I have a crucial question to ask you. Are you Born Again? In other words, are you a Christian? Do you have a need you must meet urgently or a bill you must pay as soon as possible? Do you need help now? If your answer is yes, get ready for what is coming. The windows of heaven is about to be opened up for the unprecedented presence of God. You will agree with me that when a courtship is about to turn to consummated and committed marriage relationship, the bride begins to enjoy certain benefits. Jesus is coming back again but before He comes, He wants to decorate His Bride – the Church – you, me and us.

God has called us to a glorious and victorious life through our faith in Him and in His Word. My friend, you are on the wining side. You can’t lose irrespective of your present circumstances. As long as you remain in Christ Jesus, worshipping God in spirit and truth, call on the name of the Lord Jesus in prayer and believe on Him, you will never be put to shame. Without faith it is impossible to please God. God is a rewarder of those who diligently serve Him (Heb 11:6) I can testify to that. Early this morning when I read the words of Paul in his letter to the Christians in Philippi, I jumped for joy. Paul writes, “I want to report to you, friends, that my imprisonment has had the opposite of the intended effect. Instead of being squelched, the message (of the Lord Jesus Christ) has actually prospered. Not only that, but most of the Christians here have become far more sure of themselves in the faith than ever, speaking out fearlessly about God” (Phil 1:12-14)

Satan and his agents didn’t know what they were getting into when they pick this fight with Paul, a son and messenger of Jehovah God. Satan thought that by instigating people and locking Paul up, he could shut him up, but instead, Paul started writing books that would change the world. The enemy thought imprisoning Paul would intimidate and embarrassing all the other Christians in town, but instead, it ignited them! And to make the matter worse, they changed Paul’s guard every few minutes but these guards became Paul’s audience to hear the Gospel until there were many “saints in the household of Caesar!”  (Phil 4:22). Each time the enemy locked up Paul, they gave him a pulpit to minister the Good News of the Lord Jesus Christ.

My friend, each time the enemy attempts to overplay his hand, God always set the stage for a miracle. Is that where you are today? Confined by circumstances? Mistreated by people? Restricted by your past, by sickness, absence of right to stay, negative words, generational curses, poverty, barrenness, joblessness, singleness, family trouble? I have a Good News for you. Help is on the way for you. Therefore, “Rejoice in the Lord always, and again I say, rejoice.” (Phil 4:4)  Paul was in the prison when wrote this verse. Around him was the cruelty of men and what seems to be no way but within him was the Kingdom of God.

Today, you may be going through a rough time and you are wondering, “How is such joy possible?” Paul gives us the key when he said, “For we look not at the things which are seen, but at the things which are not seen. For the things which are seen are temporal, but the things which are not seen are eternal.” (2 Cor 4:18). My friend, God has the power to change your adversity to your prosperity! You can lock up an informed man or woman filled with the Spirit of God, but you can’t keep him or her in. Do you agree?

My friend, maybe you don’t know where the funds will come from to buy food, to inject into your business, to pay your child’s school fees, to settle your creditors, to pay your next mortgage, rent or other bills? Maybe you are faced with chronic disease or family trouble. Don’t worry. God will send help to you. David, the writer of Psalm 121, knew all about family problems. His children were breaking his heart. One of them was spreading rumours about him; another was trying to steal his throne, while others were actually sleeping with his wives and taunting him! It was the story of another Royal Family – the type of story the tabloid press loves. So, where can you go and what can you do? David turned to God. I believe you should do the same!

My friend, God is not deaf and He is not limited. David said, “My help comes from the Lord who made heaven and earth, not from abroad.” Listen! Some things are just God’s job! God is your helper. Help is on the way for you. God is the One who connected Eve with Adam as his help-meet. He sent Elijah to the Widow of Zarephath as a help meet. He provided for this woman even while many children of Israel were suffering in famine (read 1 Kings 17:7-24) He is the One who brought money from the mouth of a fish to pay for the tax bill of His disciples.

My friend, don’t be discouraged! Pray and expect answer. God will send help unto you! You must commit everything to God, cast all your burdens upon Him and trust Him for a great change – salvation, deliverance, healing, victory, divine connection, favour, prosperity, restoration, blessings. If you don’t give it all to God, He is not likely to take any of it. God loves you and cares for you. I pray you believe this. I have never seen the righteous forsaken or their children begging bread, and if you are a Christian, you are not going to be the first one. Help is on the way for you. Remain blessed!
