Busta Rhymes & Venom Energy Photo Shoot

It has been revealed that gruff-voiced rapper Busta Rhymes may have to pass UP the Courvoisier … and any other expensive habits …in order to pay his back taxes.

TMZ.com has got hold of Internal Revenue Service documents that Busta owes the Treasury nearly $800,000 – more than $600,000 of which harks back over six years to 2008.

He last made the entertainment news pages last August  when he talked about growing his signature dreadlocks again. Back in 2005, he famously cut off his trademark dreadlocks for spiritual and personal reasons, but after rocking a Caesar haircut for years, the Brooklynite decided to ditch the fade and bring “Sampson back.” “That growth signifies that new defining moment in my life,” Busta told MTV News on the VMA red carpet Sunday night. “I’m at another turning point. We pressin’ the reset button.” One of the biggest reset buttons the rapper born Trevor Smith pressed was on his musical resurgence, which began with signing with Cash Money Records. “Everything I’ve done up to this point was basically like the boot camp training,” he added. “Now, motherf–ers is in trouble. And it just feels right ‘karmically’, spiritually, physically, mentally, everything that I do is based on a vibe and a energy and if the moment is what’s calling for it, we move on it.” Given the recent news, he needs to hope he can add ‘financially’ to his list of adverbs.

Last year, Atlanta’s Waka Flocka Flame said he gains his strength courtesy of sporting dreads and vowed to never cut them off.

“Hell no, I ain’t never cutting these dreads,” Waka said in an interview. “Sh*t is strength, wisdom, you know what I mean? This is all my strength right here. I’m the reason why these girls love these dreads.” (Montreality)

Prior to cutting off his own iconic dreads, T-Pain spoke to SOHH.com about why a shorter look was a sign of growth.

SOHH: There was some excitement a [recently] over Lil Wayne allegedly cutting his dreads but it turned out his hair was merely pulled back. Any chance you would ever consider snapping off your iconic hair and going with a low-cut look?

T-Pain: I guess we all have to grow up at some point in our lives. I guess we will have to wait and see if that ever happens to me hahahaaaa (SOHH)
